Frequently asked questions
Boost is $75 for each member participating in activities (Youth). Some activities require an additional fee as they are considered 'Premium Activities' being an activity that takes place off site with external providers with appropriate qualifications to sign off those higher Outdoor Adventure Skill Stages.
Boost is FREE for Leaders
Any youth member can attend as a participant.
We would love for all Leaders and Adult supporters to attend to support youth as well.
Boost will be held at Bay Park Scout Camp October 17-19

You can book as an individual a Patrol or Unit. If attending Boost as an individual you will be placed with a host Unit to for camping.
All Scouts are able to attend from Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturer Scouts and Rover Scouts

Boost will run from October 17 - October 19
Youth and Leaders will camp with their Group and charge food costs on top of the base camp and activity fees.
Groups will be camped together within their Region

Our Activity Leaders will be on hand to help you out, and to verify your work in the OAS. If you finish an OAS stage while at Boost, you will need to submit the Review to your Unit Council. Your Unit Council are the only ones who can sign off the completed stage and present you your badge.
Refund Policy
Cancel up until September 17, 2025: Full refund
Cancel between September 17 and September 30, 2025: 50% refund
Cancel after October 1, 2025: No refund
Ticket Substitution: Substituting tickets is allowed; however, ticket substitution includes all selected activities. Minimal opportunity to change activities will be available.
Joey and Cub Scout Adventure Day:
This activity is designed specifically for Stage 1 skills, and will offer activities across multiple streams. The youth will have the opportunity to complete "I" statements about wearing harnesses and helmets for vertical activities while participating in climbing and zip-lining activities. There is even a rock wall available.

Camp Cost​
Boost offers a variety of activities to cater to all participants. The Boost fee consists of three components:

Boost Fee Structure:
Participant Fee: $75 per participant
Premium Activities: Additional fees may apply for certain premium activities.
Catering: Catering will be organised by each Unit, which will provide details regarding costs and processes.
Service Participants:
Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts, Leaders, and Adult Supporters can attend Boost at no cost. However, there is an optional $60 fee for those who wish to enjoy the central leader catering, which will be charged after registration.
Yes, parents can come along to help support the running of the event. You’ll need to register as an Adult Supporter with a Working with Children Check, a Scouts Victoria organised Police check and complete Child Safe training. Your Group Leader can guide you. Volunteer assistance is important to help run the event assisting with supervision, cooking, helping with activities and other support. During the application process you can make preference selections for the role suitable for you.
